TimesReader 2.0 loads - but no window opens (macintosh)

I am not sure this is an Air problem, per se (I downloaded eBay app and it seems to be OK)

But the TimesReader 2.0 support site is non-existent.

TimesReader worked fine (until it didn't).

Possible new loads - McAfee, other apps

Have uninstalled Air several times

Have scourged the disks for any copy of TimesReader

have uninstalled and re-installed flash

Have gone to the system preferences and changed the language to spanish, then back to english and eliminated all other languages

Have checked for CoolIris

Have found a directory called "Adobe" that was empty. Eliminated that.

I have spent hours on this simply because I greatly value both the Air technology and the apps.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I was able to successfully run TimesReader 2.0 using AIR 2.0.3 on my OS 10.6.4 machine.  When TimesReader starts, do you see the icon in the dock?  Is there a menu bar displayed for Times Reader, if so can you do an About?

You might also want to delete the TimesReader preferences folder, if you have't already.  It's located at:

/Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.nyt.timesreader.78C54164786ADE80CB31E1C5D95607D0938C987A.1

Thank you Adobe!

Eliminating the preferences folder worked.

I would urge you to add some of these tips to your baseline help / faq section on your site.

There seem to be a number of safe and effective tips. The best were:

- ensuring there aren't multiple copies

- removal of the preferences

Thanks again
