This below helps illustrate what i am aiming to create, for example you click on button1 and then button1 moves from 1 spot in a horizontal direction to another, and click on button1 again it will move backwards, to its orignal pos. Needing advice on this..

Can any1 please suggests any tutorials good sites.

This AS3 forum. If you need help with AS2 - you should post on the corresponding AS1/AS2 forum.

If you need that in AS3 - look for a third party tweening engine. One of the best is TweenLite/TweenMax: http://www.greensock.com/tweenmax/

Addition: He has it for AS2 as well.
