Hello.. I would like to create a new animation with a background layer and add a color with the bucket tool. When click the bucket over the layer on my canvas nothing happens. Noticed that you can also change the stage color but I would like to do it in the layer as I would like to switch colors during the animtion. What is the simplest way to do this?
Thanks for any help.
1 Correct answer
create a stage-sized rectangle and color it as you want. if you want it below Layer_1, you need to swap those layers.

You need to draw a rectangle first.
- Press R or select with the mouse cursor the Rectangle Tool or the Rectangle Primitive Tool in the Tools panel;
- Click and drag to create the rectangle in the layer you want;
- Set the rectangle color with the Color, Swatches, Properties or Tools panel;
- Set the size of the rectangle to the size of the stage using the Align, Info or Properties panel.

Nothing is happening because the bucket tool is for filling shapes. The stage ("background") is not a shape. The stage is a global property of the project.
