Adobe Animate 2020 CC no sound

So I can't hear audio in animate, but only in testing, exporting, or preview. 

  1. I'm using actionscript 3.0
  2. Sounds are not muted
  3. Sync is on stream
  4. sound is selected
  5. the wave form is still there
  6. I tried restarting
  7. I tried reinstalling
  8. I tried other waveforms and formats
  9. I'm using my computers sound output

Yet all of these dont seem to help! I want someone to please explain what's going on and how I can fix it. I'm a mac using btw

    ok, I have updated to 24.0.2, It still did not fix the issue. Any other ideas?

    Go to Control > Mute Sounds, make sure the option is unchecked.

    Hi mate,

     

    Check your source sound file.

    It must be 44100 Hz, 16-bit, ideally PCM WAV.

    If it is 32-bit it won't work. If it's 48000 Hz it will have other problems.

    If it is MP3 it may work depending on other parameters.

    I also have the same problem, and I really need help with this because I need to animate something soon. And It worked before with all of my sound files, but even when I go to an old fla with a sound that worked before, it's just muted so i'm very confused.

    can you hear your sound when played from the library?
