Hi,
I'm working on a major animation project in Adobe Animate and I just finished the animatic. I'm starting to animate it, meaning I have to add color, but whenever I use the eyedropper it greys out the symbol I clicked it on and then the drawing I clicked on disappears completely. It doesn't actually pick out the color I want and allow me to continue to use it like intended.
Can anyone explain how to fix this so that the eyedropper actually picks the color I want instead of erasing my drawing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you using the eyedroppper on shapes or symbols (eg, movieclips)

No, not symbols, just regular frames

it's not a frame tool.
use the selection tool to click an empty part of the stage or backstage.
click the eyedropper tool and click any color on stage.
your fill bucket tool will be selected with that color ready to fill some other shape.

Thank you, can you check if you have a layer on top of Layer 9 with a transparent filled shape (Alpha% 0)?
If that's the case, please lock or hide that layer before using the eyedropper.
