I've been using Adobe Animate CC for a while now and recently I've been experiencing a lot of problems with it. I started working on a new project a few days ago and when I was trying to save it, it crashed. I reopened the file, and thankfully nothing had been lost. I continued to work, and got pretty far into it, but then as I was working it crashed a second time. I reopened the file only to find out that all of my work had been erased and that the document was "damaged." Frustrated, I created a new file and began to work from scratch. Then, exactly like last time, it crashed again. I reopened the file and all of my new work had been erased once again. I want to keep animating but there are too many problems. . . is there a way to fix this soon?
to start, save your flas with increasing version numbers. eg, by appendiing _v000, _v001 to the file name so you never again lose a significant amount.
to prevent the crashes, reset your preferences -
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/re-create-preferences-flash-professional.html
(or remove Win: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC <version>\ and
C\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Animate\<version>\
Mac: /Users/<us
