So I'm working on a project in Animate and randomly, after I did a brush stroke, the mac cursor loading screen appeared and it refuses to go away so I can't use my mouse and work on my project. The cursor works on every other application but when I hover the curosor on animate, the mac loading screen appears and I can't work on anything. Is there anyway for me to get everything back to normal aside from quitting animate? The last thing I wanna do is reset and lose my progress, or even worse, corrupt the file. Any help is greatly aprreciated.

learn to save frequently with increasing version number appended to your file name. periodically close and reopen the latest version to confirm it's uncorrupted before deleting previous versions.

I can't save right now because the cursor just won't work at all when i hover it to adobe animate so it's just stuck in this limbo state where I can't do anything, even save. Also I've made two other backup files, but I just dont't want to lose any progress I made over something completley out of my control.

sounds like animate's already fozen and will crash.
hopefully the previous save with a different name was recent.

I'll give it some more time just in case I can get a solution or it miraclously stops loading, but yeah I guess I'll otherwise have to quit then. Thanks for help though.

Yeah it says it's not responding and the text is red so it seems like its all screwed up then, looks like I have to quit and pray, thanks again.

I quit and reset animate and luckily, I didn't lose much! only about one inked frame of animation! I'll happily take that over a entire file being lost which was what I was afraid was gonna happen!
