Adobe Animate problems with key frames and timeline

New Here ,
Jul 13, 2019 Jul 13, 2019

Hello-

I've been having constant issues with a particular file. For whatever reason, whenever I create a new key frame with new items on it, the timeline freezes and then maybe 3 second later, it plays a sped up version of the frames or just skips to the last frame. For reference, I am literally just animating a head turn, I added ONE key frame with a new head position and for whatever reason that is the most difficult thing for the program to run. I thought it was just the file being weird because I looked at some of my other animations and they are running relatively normal, just take a second or two to run smoothly. So, naturally I just thought the file was weird so I deleted it and started and again, and things were going fine until yesterday when it started doing this again. Also, after a while, it is impossible to even add a line or two on any frame because animate starts lagging like crazy and crashes way more than it's supposed to. Any response is appreciated! Thanks!

look for a corrupt library symbol:

create a test fia from your current problematic fla.  with the copied problematic fla:

eliminate 1/2 the library items and retest.  if no problem check the other 1/2.  continue eliminating the problematic 1/2 of your library symbols until you find a corrupt symbol (or you eliminate all library symbols and still have a problematic fla indicating a corrupt animate or part of animate).
