I’m just started to use this program and without learning more then 4 tools it’s broken and I can’t use any function, and I’m so frustrated. For some reason I can no longer edit any specific frame, Whenever selecting any frame: every line in it is selected, the bucket tool won’t work (sometimes the brush) and it makes it so I’m editing every frame. I think ppl are referring to is as auto selection is on but I can’t find where to turn that off. I literally am unable to animate anything at this point.

if you click a timeline frame, everything in that frame that's on stage will be selected.  that's expected behavior.

if you want to select a specific item (eg, a line) at that timeline/frame, select the frame>click an empty part of the stage or backstage (to deselect everything)>click the desired item (eg, a line).

if you want to select several items, shift-clicking will do that after deselecting all.

the fill bucket only works on fills, so two lines can never fill.  you can fill the triangle (that may be) formed by 3 intersecting lines and you can fill ovals and rectangles and much more.
