Animate help please!

I'm trying to animate a picture I made for school and I can play it fine on the main screen but if I go to test, nothing shows up and it tells me to load flash and then I get a screen saying adobe no longer uses flash. I try to export my GIF and my preview is not going my animation at all, just a blue screen. What the heck is going on?! I know animate was recently updated. It was working fine before that. I don't understand why it is not working now. I used action script. Does this mean Animate no longer supports making animations? That doesn't make any sense. Why is it not working? Anyone else having the same issue?

to test as3 project: click control>test movie>in animate. (testing as3 in a browser is no longer supported.)

to create your animated gif: click file>export>export animated gif
