Animate keep reseting prefrences and other stuff

so for the second time this month, i launched animate and found that all prefrences were back to default, as well as the keyboard shorcuts, the onion skin settings, brush sizes, publish settings, and last and the most hurtful is that the file i recently was working on is corrupted both the file and its recovery, no updates were made on animate it was 22.0.5 and still is, and i made sure yesterday to close animate safely in case my pc would shut itself down and corrupt my files,i also noticed that i cant dock the timeline window to the main window, i had to choose a different layout to dock it back, thats just so frustrating.

something (eg, av, antimalware, cleaner, defragger etc) is deleting or sequestering your preference files.

the fla corruption can also be from the above, but can also be caused by animate misbehaving.  start saving your fla files with an increasing version number appended to the file name.  eg, for project1.fla, use project1_v000.fla, project1_v001.fla etc.  in the publish preferences change the output name to project1.

Have you tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling the software?
