Animate sprites background

So in Animate when I put a sprite sheet in the background is white. How do I get rid of the white background and make it transparent?

Whether you're doing HTML5 Canvas and using spritesheet, or if you are using the generate spritesheet exporter, make sure you are on 32 bit PNG.

png, like the file type? im guessing 32 bit is my computer? lol

png is the file type, but it can also be 8, 24, or 32 bit. You want transparency and quality, and so you would use 32 bit. Look at the drop down menus in the export dialogs, there should be one where you can select 32 bit.
