Animate unable to save document

Animate has started giving me an error where I cannot save my document, even if I have been saving in the same location. It suggests saving under a different name or in a new location, but still gives me an error when I try. It just started doing it this week on multiple documents. As someone who uses Animate on a daily basis, I wonder if this is a bug in the latest build since I've never seen this before. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey!

Found another workaround:

Had the unable to save document problem in Animate CC 2018. I then opened Animate CC 2017 and saved an empty document on the desktop. After this, saving works in CC 2018 too!

I am concerned that I am unable to save my files simply within Animate but can only save them to desktop.

1)Doesn't this seem like a problem?

2)What can I do to allow me to once again save them within Animate?

you need to use acceptable path/file names.

again, paths/file names can use alpha characters followed by and a few symbols like dash and underscore and numbers. spaces can be problematic.

Ok - the second screenshot I posted yesterday showed the paths/file names that seemed legit to me, but wouldn't work:
/Applications/Adobe Animate 2024/Hypnopompia.fla

I just tried it again -exactly the same - and this morning it worked. SMH

As that seems to be working correctly at the moment. Let me ask you my next question:

My most recent incarnation of a file was saved only as a swf. I can't find it anywhere as a fla. What can I do?
