[AS2] OOP

Contributor ,

Hi All,

Im just looking at starting at large desktop UI project in AS2 OOP and Im wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks on how to start off development structuring such a project?

Im proficient enough at AS2 OOP, but I feel the scale and future expandability of this project needs more, to the extent of MVC.

Ive been looking into all the discussions on MVC and design patterns, but none seem to look at the pre-production stage. Its 'easy' enough to draw a work flow of the project, but taking into account a design pattern is causing me to over-think and therefore over-complicate.

Any starting points on how to plan out an expandable AS2 OOP project is very much appreciated.

Regards

PureMVC is pretty robust.

Also, here's a list of frameworks: http://swik.net/Framework+Flash

Hi Dave,

PureMVC looks very good. It explains itself and gives ideas of how to approach a project using it. Just what I need as a starting point.

Thanks
