So I was trying to import audio by using Bandicam to record it. When I first tried importing it, it didn't work so I converted it into a .wav. After that, it did import but when I clicked play there was no sound. I've tried everything! I can hear the audio on other audio players but can't hear it in Adobe Animate. I can see the orange lines but I can't hear it. What should I do???

I have tried to fix this for hours, but it won't work! Any help would be appreciated as I'm new to Adobe and I've looked through countless pages trying to find a solution.

UPDATE!!! I downloaded another FLA that had audio but when I played that, there was no sound! This is a problem with my device, right? But what's the problem? How do I fix this?

Check your OS sound mixer.
Animate could be muted or routed toward a sound device which is not connected to speakers.

Unfortunately it didn't fix it. Animate is 100 volume and even if I change the sound device, there is no sound. I have THX Spatial speakers (doesn't work) and Realtek(R) Audio which is what works on everything BUT Adobe Animate. What now?

If you like, upload the FLA and the WAV source and post a link, so that others can check and make sure that indeed they play, and the problem is with Animate somehow not interfacing properly with your audio device.
Alternatively, you can try with this sample FLA, which definitely has working audio.

This is the FLA I used to test: (you have to download the google drive) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gcSFGFIsQJja3b8wSrpj6gdTLvTercyz/view
The .WAV is an attachment.
Note that I can hear the .wav by itself but when i import it into Adobe Animate, it doesn't work.

I can confirm that the timeline audio in the uploaded FLA plays fine on my system.
Also the WAV is 44kHz 16-bit as it should be.
You need to dig into your OS settings.
You can also try to install an older version of Animate alongside the current one, just as a test.

just a question: do ya have an idea on what settings I should look at? I'm on windows 11.

I have not touched Windows 11, so not too sure.
In Windows 10 there is the Control Panel > Sound, where you manage your various sound devices and also Sound Options in Settings (the more modern interface), where in Advanced you can set the different applications to use different devices, if you have multiple.
Also the Sound Mixer.
Good luck!

Huh, this is weird. When I click "Test Movie", I can hear the audio perfectly fine. What could be the problem here? I've searched through my speaker settings but nothing worked. I've made sure the audio is set to "stream" as well.

Another thing I found out is that if I import the audio to my library and try to click the play button, it has no sound and immediately stops.

A problem has been identified concerning audio playback during authoring on Mac systems using Animate version 22.0.3. The team is actively investigating this issue. As a potential workaround, you might want to utilize Animate version 22.0.2 until this matter is successfully addressed.
