Audio not playing in Timeline (Adobe Animate)

I'm having a problem where the sounds wont play on the timeline nor the library. Ive been trying all day to try to fix it, but with no luck.

open the problematic sound file in audition and save with  8- or 16-bits at sample rates of 11, 22, or 44 kHz.

then import that saved-from-audition sound and retry.
