Hi guys,

I'm new to Adobe Animate and usually do everything with after effects. I wanted to try rigging with simple characters, but the bone tool does some very strange things and I just can't get it to select my elements and put the points where I click. Attached video.

Stop using Animate's built-in bone tools: those are too buggy and broken for production.

Instead, save your sanity and download the Flanimate rigging toolset for Flash/Animate CC and use those to rig your characters.

Hmmmn that is very unexpected. I also +1 the use of https://flash-powertools.com/ EDAPT system. Very intuitive and more powerful depending on your needs.

Try using the Asset warp tool. The new Flexi bone add on is really cool.
