Hello, I'm having issues with the brush tool in Animate CC 2022.

As you can see in the video below, tried in other software to compare.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, I just noticed that it only happens with the Fluid Brush Tool..
Tried reinstalling both Animate and Wacom Driver, but still have the problem.

Also tried setting double click speed to max on mouse settings but nothing happened.

Wow that's pretty bad. Not sure what to suggest. I'm on a different OS here and have no issues using Fluid Brush on a XP-Pen 22R pen display and my Xence Labs tablet.

Thanks for reaching out.

For Fluid Brush tool, the following hardware specs are required to work best.

Windows : DirectX 12 compliant GPU (with feature level 12_0 support)

Windows->Run->"dxdiag" to check the directx specs.

Please share your Directx specifications with us. Also, try to set "Stabilizer" value in Fluid Brush properties to '0' and share a screen recording of the brush drawing. We will look into the issue of yours. Thanks!

I may not be the original poster but I am running into the same issue. My graphics driver features level 12_0, and I did set the stabilizer to 0. This delay does not exist in other software (Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint)

Do you have a dedicated graphics card in your PC that is not integrated into the processor like Intel graphics? (Nvidia, AMD, ARK etc). The problem with integrated graphics is that the memory is shared with the cpu.

If so open Animate using the dedicated GPU and see if you get better results: https://pureinfotech.com/set-gpu-app-windows-10/

thanks, this seems to have partially fixed my issue. while the brushstrokes are fluid, they are still laggy during the first ~halfsecond-second

Go to Nvidia's control panel and change the power management mode from 'adaptive' to 'prefer maximum performance'.

Also check if there are any driver updates on Nvidia's website.
