BUG: AA 23.0.2 cannot open Flash 8, CS3 and CS4 FLA files

Just for the record, because people on other forums reference threads posted here.

The latest Animate update - 23.0.2 - broke compatibility with Flash 8, CS3 and CS4 FLA files, which can open without any issues in 23.0.0 and 23.0.1.

Tested on Windows.

Compatibility was broken before in Animate 22 on Mac and later fixed in AA 22.0.6.

Introducing the same major issue a second time is ridiculous and a sign of total lack of QA.

For anyone wondering what to do, just revert to Animate 23.0.0 via the CC App.

As of today, the problem hasn't been solved. Can't open any old work anymore. Now I'm trying to guess-install a version that'll work.

Currently, I have version 23.0.2 installed and CC app doesn't provide other install options for the 23 release. There are a bunch of 22 releases which I can try, but it's hit-and-miss since I don't know which one last year solved the problem. Last year I was opening old files with a  2021, now I damn the day I trusted Adobe's bug fix and uninstalled it 😞

For the record, the version I found could still open old files is 22.0.8. For some reason, insstalling itself it uninstalled 23.0.2 instead of "sitting" next to it, but maybe taht was my mistake.
