I create a movie clip symbol within some party of my design inside a time line. I open the movie clip and try to create a motion tween somewhere in that movie clip's timeline. I right-click on a frame in that timeline, but the "create motion tween" option is greyed out. So I can only create a classic tween. But with classic tweens there seems to rotation property, so I cannot rotate it endlessly that way.
Thoughts?

1. put the one object that you want to tween on its own layer and tween it.
2. you can rotate objects with classic tweens. use two 180 rotations to complete a 360 rotation.

I tried that, doesn't work. I had created a movie clip symbol, could create a motion tween inside the symbol. If I add the symbol to the main timeline first (for what ever reason that is necessary), I can at least add the motion tween. BUT still cannot see a rotate property. How can that be?

because you didn't select the movieclip and check the transform panel?

Also, don't use movielclip unless you need some special effects. Just use the graphic symbol.
