Correct answer Preran

Thank you for the shout, Nick.

I will check with the team if they have this on their mind. Meanwhile, I suggest using this form Feature Request/Bug Report Form to submit your feature request to the team directly.

Thanks,

Preran

CanvasRenderingContext2D.globalCompositeOperation - Web APIs | MDN

I noticed that this now has full support...

It doesn't. Try opening that page in IE11 and note that most of the compositing modes don't work. Aside from the core source/destination-in/out/over/atop compositing functions, it looks like the only advanced ones supported are "lighter" and "xor".

IE 11 is not a modern browser. It was replaced with Edge. According to caniuse.com this feature has support by 89.63% of browsers used globally. https://caniuse.com/#search=canvas%20blend%20modes

Listen we could argue this forever. It's the same discussion that has happened countless times with different versions of IE over the years. The point is usage has fallen around 20% in the last few years and is now minimal enough to start thinking about a feature like this since it would take time for the Adobe team to code it into Animate CC. In that development time usage will likely continue to drop even more.

I'm not arguing, I'm stating a hard fact: Many of those blend modes will fail for 1 in 10 desktop users.

In the future, when IE11 is down to truly insignificant usage, sure, bring on the blend modes. But that time is not now.
