So I'm trying to make clouds. I have made a cloud symbol in which I have the animation of the cloud bobbing up and down. I put this symbol multiple times on a new layer and the bobbing animation works just fine. But when I try to make the clouds move from left to right with a classic tween the bobbing animation doesn't play anymore. The clouds only move from left to right and do not bob anymore. Is there a solution to this problem? A way to make the clouds move left to right and bob at the same time?
From the OP's description I get the impression that there are multiple cloud symbols on one layer.
When activating the tween, Flash would auto-convert all those to a Tween symbol and the nested animation may stop playing, because that Tween symbol only has one frame inside.

is the symbol a movieclip or a graphic?
if a graphic, there needs to be enough frames in the parent timeline for the graphic's animation to play
if a movieclip, you won't see the movieclip's timeline play while editing, but will when testing and in the published file.

That did the trick! I did have mutliple clouds on the same layer. I put them on seperate layers and the animation works just fine. Thanks!
