Copying objects from Illustrator and pasting them to Animate crashes Animate

Contributor ,

When I copy any object, text or shape in an Illustrator document and then try to paste it into Animate it crashes Animate and I have to re-open it. This is not just on my Mac, but on all our Macs. We are fully updated on all Adobe apps (2023 versions). What's wrong?

it's an adobe bug if others can reproduce it.

wait for a day or two to see if others test and then, if there are other confirmations, report here, https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

I can't get my Animate to crash. Maybe save your copy of what you have in your illustrator file to a new Illustrator file make sure to save it as .ai and not .eps and then try and copy and paste it from the new illustrator .ai file.

Good Luck!
