Corrupting/No progress Saved in Adobe Animate

New Here ,

Hello All,

Recently, a group of people I am working with have run into an issue where we are working with our files over the period of 2-4 hours and we have been saving constantly in between that time until we determine that the file is finished. The file indicates that there is a save change being made And the date modified is also changing to the correct time. However, when we go back to the file, or pass it along to someone else in the process, all of the changes that were made are lost/corrupted as if the save reiterates itself back to a previous version resulting in the loss of a few hours of work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this or what might be causing it? Or even a way to confirm that there is a save happening other than the modified date on the file change.

it's not clear what you're doing, nor what you did.

Sorry I was unclear,

The issue is in Adobe Animate often times it will behave as if it's saving, but when we re-open that file it hasn't actually saved. This has gone on from Adobe Animate 2022-2024 versions.

i've never seen that, but using save is not prudent.  use 'save as' and append increasing version number to file name.

I did try the "Save as" option and the file still ended up corrupted, I iterated to a different file name to ensure that the changes would register but still, all of the progress was lost as if I had not started the file.

periodically close and reopen the latest version to ensure it's not corrupt.  if it's not, you can delete earlier versions.

Did you manage to resolve your 'save' issue? I've noticed that while I save my work every 5 minutes or so, when animate 2024 crashes, (which it's been doing a helluva lot recently, when i reopen the file none of the work I've been saving has saved. This has only been happening since the Sequoia upgrade which has been a massive downgrade 🤬
