Dropbox sync issue corrupting CC files

New Here ,
May 14, 2018 May 14, 2018

Last week I started getting unusual behavior using CC, specifically Animate, and Dropbox selective sync. When I opened .fla files from dropbox's website I would get a file error.

"An error occurred opening file "/name"

When I went to find the file again it was now showing only 1kb file size and lost everything. I ran into a similar issue with an InDesign file I was working on later the same day.

"Cannot open "name". The file "name? is damaged (Error code: 4)."

I lost two files before I turned off all syncing and manually downloaded any files. Both Animate and InDesign were fully up to date.

Hi Jonah,

I haven't heard of this issue previously, but if it is a Dropbox sync issue, there isn't anything much anyone here can do about it. You could try some of the solutions here to recover corrupt FLA files.
