Errors when trying to test movie

I have a very simple animation that consists of a button as a move clip, than when clicked, goes to a certain frame. When I test this out by going to Control > Test, a Chrome browser opens but nothing shows up. I then open Inspect and check the Console, and there are errors. The errors I'm seeing are "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ':'" and "Uncaught ReferenceError: AdobeAn is not defined".

This couldnt be a more simple animation with an action so it is very frustrating that Animate cannot work as expected. Why does it add a colon if it breaks the animation from playing? Why does it try to refer to AdobeAn when it also doesn't even work? Does Adobe not test their products? I cannot find any fixes when I research these errors.
