Question

Export frame number

When i right click an item in my library and then click linkage.....isee the option to export in first frame!

Is there anyway to instruct individual items to export in any other frame than first?

If i go to publish settings and change export frame for classes to frame 8 it changes ALL my classes, which presents a problem as it stops my preloader working and gets stuck on frame one rather than going to frame 8 and continuing with the animation?

Sorry, no not really... you can fix though by creating a better preloader.
One where the preloader is it's own movie.

I have just found a problem with my solution lol.....

RE: http://www.gapproject.co.uk/gap_gallery.html

When testing in Netscape Navigator and Firefox the preloader works 100% as it should do.

Although, when testing in ie7 it loads the whole content still before the preloader.....grrrrrr

Any ideas why?

You cannot load the frames... you load the SWF itself.

FYI........

I figured out a solution.....

1. Remove the export in first frame from my movieclips etc etc.
2.Create a blank keyframe between preloader (frame 1) and website (frame 8).
3.Add all the content that was previosly exported on frame 1 to the blank keyframe (frame 2) to ensure it exists on the timeline.

Hey presto...works exactly as i wanted it too.

For more info on what i am trying to do....

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=15&catid=288&threadid=1343084&enterthread=y

This is the previos thread i started and unfortunately had no replies too.

Quick question...

You said to 'load the content into an empty movie clip'...

Do you mean to load the swf file itself or load the frames from the swf file?

wow, you waited a whole of 10 minutes to complain you're not getting help?
You might want to rethink that strategy, or you'll likely not get any help
at all.

Things export in the frame their in, unless you specify otherwise.

A more proper way to make a preloader is to use a separate movie, and load
the content into an empty movie clip. Then you can use MovieClipLoader, and
accurately monitor and display the dl.
