Exporting an animated GIF. Animate or Photoshop?

Hello

For years I've used Photoshop to produce animated GIF banners.

More recently, I've moved to Animate. However, I've noticed text doesn't appear as sharp when exported from Animate.

Does anyone have a preference for which app to use? Is there a way to sharpen up the type on Animate?

Thank you

I tried something, but couldn't see a difference. Still, you might try it with your animation.

In the export as animated GIF settings is one that lets you chose between Art Optimized and Type Optimized. Perhaps Type Optimized would be sharper.

I often found if you export your files out of animate as PNG files and put them together inside Photoshop you'll get a better quality Gif.

Thank you. That's an interesting workaround. I'll give it a go.

Can you please share the images exported in Photoshop vs Animate.

Also it would be helpful if you can share the screenshot of Export Image(Gif) dialog box of Photoshop and Animate. Thanks!

Here is a tutorial for photoshop, once you export a png sequence from animate.

I will have to show you the difference at a later date when I have time. 🙂

Thank you for replying.

I've attached screengrabs of the two dialogue boxes.

I've can't share the images as it's for a client.

Thank you.
