Trying to learn Adobe Animate. There are constant references to the F6 and other 'F' keys. I am using a Mac Notebook Pro which has no F keys at all. What to do please?

You can customize the shortcuts to use any keys.

Just go to Animate > Keyboard Shortcuts... and reassign the F keys to something else.

For example, I use X to create keyframes instead of F6, because it is easier to press.

Z instead of F5; Alt+Z instead of F7 and so on.

Or, of course, you can buy an external keyboard that has all the keys.

There is certainly a way to simulate typing function keys on your weird computer. Consult the manual or online help.

On Mac notebooks, the function keys are replaced by special keys. To access the F6 key's functionality, press the "Fn" key along with "F6". Alternatively, you can change the keyboard settings in "System Preferences" to use the function keys directly. Enable "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" to directly access F6. These methods will allow you to use the F6 key in Adobe Animate and other applications.
