Flash doesn't export movie or video files anymore (it seems to make a .MOV file but there's nothing actually there, Premiere says there is no video or audio information). Any suggestions about exporting from Flash CC?

You can check here:
Exporting HD videos with Adobe Media Encoder
Animate CC allows you to export tweens, symbols, and graphics to High Definition videos of various formats. The HD videos exported with Animate can be used with Communications-enabled applications, for video conferencing, streaming, and sharing.
By default, Animate can export to QuickTime Movie (.MOV) files, only. The export function requires you to install the latest version of QuickTime Player, since Animate leverages QuickTime libraries when exporting MOV files.
The HD video export workflow has been remodeled, as Animate is now integrated with Adobe Media Encoder. It allows you to convert MOV files to various other formats. To its end, Adobe Media Encoder has been optimized to only present export formats relevant for Animate content. For more information on Encoding and Exporting videos using Adobe Media Encoder, see Encode and export video and audio.

Note:
Adobe Media Encoder is automatically installed when you install Animate CC from the Creative Cloud desktop application.

My question was about Flash, so this hasn't really helped. MY bundle has a program called "Edge Animate" and I tried to use it but it doesn't open my FLA projects so... I'll have to stick with Flash, even if Adobe are abandoning it. Makes me wonder why they bought out Macromedia just to run Dreamweaver and Flash into the ground.
Any advice on why Flash will not export video / movie files anymore?

Adobe Animate is just a new name for Flash Pro. If you have reasons you can't update (like, Adobe Animate requires a subscription that you don't want to have), then you would still need QuickTime to do the export. How that all works depends on which version of Flash Pro you have.
Which one are you using?

CC 2015 is my version.
If Animate IS Flash, then why do I have both? Nevermind...
All I want to do is create MOV files from Flash to take into Premiere. It doesn't even have to be MOV, any format that works will be fine.
It does make a MOV file but there's no video parts in the file that Premiere / Media Encoder / Media Player will recognise.

Edge Animate is not Flash Pro, Adobe Animate is. There would be no reason to have Flash Pro CC 2015 and also Adobe Animate 2017, but there could be reasons to have Flash Pro CS6 and Adobe Animate 2017 (like if you want to support AS2 documents or use TLF textfields).
Are you able to post an FLA somewhere that would show the problem? You are using File/Export/Export Video, and not File/Export/Export Movie?

Well I tried both (video and movie).
I appreciate your reply, Colin. It's very frustrating though.
I can't see any way here to upload a flash file...
I really don't know what else to try.

Export Movie doesn't have a video option, just wanted to make sure you were using Export Video.
Do you have dropbox, or Google Drive, or any of the other file sharing systems? If you don't you could private message me with a file, if you can make a small enough file to show the problem.

Thank you Colin, I'm not sure how me sending you a Flash file will help...
It'll just be a flash file. The problem is that My Flash software does not export video.
I can though send you a FLA though - If you want to share your email?
Mine is evocrim@hotmail.com

Okay, so I did a test, I tried to export a movie using one of Flash's own files (an example called "panning" which is a gassy landscape moving sideways).
The .MOV file that it makes had this response in other software:
Adobe Media Encoder "could not be imported by Adobe Media Encoder."
Windows Media Player "encountered a problem while playing the file."
Adobe Premiere Pro "File IMport Failure. Error Message The file has no audio or video streams."

Those are normal errors if you haven't installed QuickTime, which we had previously suggested you should do.
How big is the MOV file?

I did check my quicktime updates when it was first suggested. The MOV file was just a test, very small size.
I don't know, I give in. I tried all different workarounds (I found out that Premiere does NOT handle a JPEG sequence very well).
I give up. I'll have to look at alternative software.
Thank you for trying Colin, but it's beaten me.
