Glitch: Animate copies javascript from one frame to another

Community Beginner ,

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Animate will just copy a whole frame of code over to a different frame, overwriting a whole section of code without warning.

It has happened twice now, it's really scary bcause there's no way to know it has happened until your project starts not working, and I save frequently so it's most likely going to be saved before I discover it.

i've never seen that but i don't use auto-keyframe and that's a suspect.

also, you should be saving with increasing version numbers appended to you fla title so you don't lose a significant amount of work.

I don't use Auto-keyframe either, I just have code in frame 1.  But I did see that Auto-keyframe is on so, maybe it's causing the glitch?  I have my doubts, but I turned it off anyway.

Thanks for the tip in version-incrementing my save files.

I will, but it's tough to gauge - I've been working on this project for a month, and it has only happened to me twice.  Hopefully never again!
