Graphic symbol's audio on main timeline OR auto lip sync audio target anwhere in library

The biggest problem with auto lip sync is that they work only when the mouth viseme graphic symbol and audio are on the same timeline. When creating a story scene, you have multiple characters on the same stage. We don't create all the character parts and scene props on the main scene. This would be a clutter. They are all created as individual graphic symbols. While we can sync each lip sound inside the character, we have to make another copy of the sound on the main timeline because graphic symbols don't play their inside sound on the main timeline. This is a real pain for most artists.

Ideally as a wish list, it would be great to have audio inside of graphic symbol play on the main timeline, or alternately as a work around, we should be able to choose the lip sync audio from the library.

The first method is preferable, because the all the trimmed audio is exactly avaiable as it is on the master timeline.

1. don't post links in your messages here or you'll be banned.

2. sounds don't need to be on the main timeline to play

3. i don't understand how you would have any problem lip-syncing each character on their own timeline and then adding each to the main timeline. unless you mean it's difficult to adjust the timing of each character so they interact the way you intend.  but in that situation the various audio streams would be the main problem and that's not something that can be done in animate.

Thanks for the tip

2. sounds don't need to be on the main timeline to play

Sounds inside graphic symbols don't play on main timeline. I can make them into movie clip, since my purpose is to render out video for animation. Not actionscript content.

I want each graphic symbol to play their synced sound on the main timeline, thats in my wishlist for last 20 years.

I posted this requested many times in the past. Everybody argues that ig you put many symbols on the main timeline there will be all noise. Yes, that will happen with movie clips with loop sound. Not Graphic. Just like Premiere Pro and After Effects can play nested clips with sound on main timeline, Animate should. This is a basic requirement.

i saw, i think, @n. tilcheff comment about this in the past.  i didn't understand it then and don't understand it in the context of several lip-synced characters interacting.

You may want to look into the newly released Sound Sync panel:

https://flash-powertools.com/sound-sync-panel/

It's part of EDAPT Premium, so it may not be worth the money if you only use this one feature, but just wanted to let you know that it exists.
