How do I arch text?

I want to give users the option of arching their text in a Flash application. I cannot use Premiere, Illustrator, After Effects or some other editor because I need to be able to control both the text and the degree of arch from Actionscript. Is there a simple way to do this? Does the Text Layout Framework for Flash 10 offer any features that help with arches?

i don't think flash cs4 has anything to make arching text easier than it was in as2:  you create one textfield for each letter and arrange the textfields in the shape you want.
