How do I convert an .AS (action script file) to an .SWF

you create a fla file (using flash pro) that 'includes' the as file or uses it as a class or you copy the as file into the actions panel in a fla.

there's no way to create a swf using an actionscript file unless you know, at least, a little bit about the program that creates the swf.  (or you ask someone else to do it for you.)
