How to brush with gradient in Animate?

I'm trying to brush through a few strokes on a drawing in Animate. The problem is the fill in the drawing is a specific gradient I made, and when I use the eyedropper on the gradient and then use the brush on the strokes to match the gradient, the gradient color is in a different position. Is there a way to fix this?

To adjust the gradient's position use the Gradient Transform Tool (F).
