I'm trying to make a game, where it's basically to build a burger, and I'm making this post to figure out if the idea I have is even possible.
First idea:
The user will click a button, and an animation of a burger part will descend, building the burger. But I have no idea how it's going to stack properly and be in the right position/layer with just the click of a button. For instance, the first layer of the burger, the user wants to have a patty, how do I make it that whatever the first button the user clicked will be the first layer of the burger? And then continue on with the second layer, third, and so on.
Second idea:
I'm new to Animate, so I don't even know if it's possible, but basically, the idea is to have the user drag the burger part and make them stack the burger themselves, so there's no issues with figuring out how clicking the button can make the burger parts stack in the right places. It basically has the user interact with the burger parts and move it around. Is that possible to do in Animate? And how?
Please if you have any recommendations on how I go about doing this, lmk!

assemble your finished burger on stage with each part in its own layer.
then move each burger part wherever you like for its start position.
reverse the frames in those layers. animate/tween each layer.
create your controls and encode them

i'm sorry but what do you mean by reverse the frames ?

you're going to need to learn some basics or have someone else do this for you.
reversing framess: select the frames > right click > click reverse frames

I think I might have figured it out! Thank you for your help!

Hi.
Yeah, you can totally create this kind of game in Animate.
But do you have an example/reference? I've seen some, but I would like to have a better and more precise idea of what you want to achieve.

JC

Yeah sure!
So this is the burger with everything added. The individual parts have already been drawn separately. I guess what I need help with is how to layer these burgers properly. To better explain, for instance, the user wants to add pickles as the first layer, then by clicking a button, the pickles will drop onto the bottom bun. Then, they want to add the patty as the second layer. How do I make it so that the patty will descend down onto "the second layer" of the burger on top of the pickles?
Like how do I make it that whatever burger part/button they click first will make that burger part be the first layer, and the second button they click will make that burger part be the second layer, and so on? Sorry if this is confusing, I tried explaining it as best as I can.
Thank you.
