Dear all,
I am learning Animate through the Classroom in a Book (2022) book.
In Lesson 3, pages 158-160, we are taught how to use the 3D Transform tool.
What the book doesn't explain at this stage is how to constraint proportions and size of the object we are about to rotate. I tried to look in the Properties (how I would have done in Illustrator, where one has a similar undesired effect if "scale stroke and corners" is not selected), but found nothing that would help.
The desired effect is that I can rotate the object over its axis and it just rotates, it doesn't deforms.
What happens, instead, is that as I rotate, the object gets deformed (for example: rotating around the Y axis makes the item become elongated over the X axis and much bigger than before).
The "End" file for this project works as expected but through comparing the objects I could not find any difference.
The User Guide has no mention of this being a possible effect even.
Could you please help me in this?
Thank you
Hi.
You probably have to select the instance you transforming and go to the Properties panel > 3D Position and View > Perspective angle and set a smaller value.
I hope this helps.

JC

Wow! That was it!
How would have I found it without your help, I don't know.
Certainly the guide should have mentioned it, I believe.
Thank you
