Preamble:
I loved Flash since Macromedia introduced it. And AIR was IMHO the best runtime since a very long time. It was super fast, stable and slim when it came to filesizes, memory handling, garbage collecting etc. But since the death of Flash and the sale of AIR there also died most of the Flash/AIR ecosystem. We might all switched to some other (HTML5) engines but the need for animations and good animation tools never went away which leds me to the following quesion:
Why isn't Adobe seizing this opportunity?
So why not realigning the good animation features to new frameworks? Why not targeting the webdevs when it comes to new tutorials? Adobe leaves the door completely open for other tools like Google Webdesigner. Lottie, Rive ... you name it. BUT WHY? Animate is pretty cool for creating HTML5 Banners, you CAN create super small banners, masking images, having cool tweenings and your counted filesize is superslim (because CreateJS can be loaded via GoogleCDN and is not counted as part of your Banner size).
On the other hand the CreateJS filesize is pretty heavy (~250KB) when you'd like to host everything on your own and it's not actively maintained which leds me to the following quesion:
Where is Adobe heading?
I couldnt find any Roadmap, the News are old, there is not real Blog with updates, Beta-Stuff like Animate to Lottie is not getting pushed so realy ask myself where Adobe is heading for Animate? Will there be an alternative framework integration for CreateJS like PixiJS? Will there be an CreateJS Update? React/Fultter integration? ANY direction would be super helpful.

I won't attempt to give you any answers.
Just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading your post.

Hi.
All I can say is that the Animate team has been working mainly on the Asset Warp Tool, parenting, asset management, social features, learning content and improvements and fixes that favor the program's stability and users' quality of life. This can be checked in the release notes.
And, from what I've been told, there is still the intention to continue working on development features, mainly for HTML5, but I'm not sure when.
Regards,
JC
