Hello, I'm facing an issue with exporting a project (15,990 frames). There is an error message that basically says that the "Java Virtual Machine (for ActionScript)" ran out of memory. The error message is linked below.
(I don't seem to be able to open the file in editor like it says)
Now, I've looked in my files and haven't been able to find this jvm.ini file, so please don't tell me to go there as I have already tried- I need to find out how to get there. I've installed Java V.8 and the Java SE Development Kit 24.0.2 but haven't been able to do anything with it. How do I fix the issue and access the file? ALSO, would more RAM help? Please let me know if you need any more info. Thank you.

i have win 11 pro and it's there and it's been there for every other os i've had since flash 3 (that's before flash cs 3, ~1998). ie, look again.

What do you reccomend that I change the # of memory to? It's at 256 and my animation is 15,990 frames.

It still takes a while to open (It hasn't yet...) Is that supposed to happen?

yes, a fla's opening speed won't be impacted by the jvm.

Ok, it opened and I started exporting. It stayed on 10% per usual for a bit but now is at 1%. This has happened before and I just got the "not responding" notice

Another issue occured some 10 minutes ago. Adobe animate seemed to close and just leave 2 exporting bars, both at 1%. Animate is still open in my taskbar but these 2 bars won't stay on my screen unless my mouse is on the Animate icon.

either force close animate or restart your computer.
make sure you're naming your fla by appending version numbers to the end of the file name. you're at high risk of fla corruption.

I apologize, I don't understand what you mean by naming my FLA by appending version numbers. Could you elaborate further, please?

after restarting animate and opening your fla, immediately resave with a version number appended . periodically and especially with significant edits resave with increased version number.

I'm not changing the file,i'm just trying to publish it. Every failed attempt I've had at exporting these files has left me with a recovered SWF file.

only after understanding the above should you proceed with:
you could create two fla's by copying and pasting about 8000 frames from the end of timeline from the current 15,990 fla to a new fla and deleting the copied frames.
then open one fla > export video. repeat with other fla. stitch together in premiere pro.

Ok, I understand now. Thank you!

make sure about the naming:
project1.fla should be saved as project1_v001.fla, project1_v002.fla etc
