Layering + Export Issue

so every time i try to apply effects to different layers it works just fine in adobe animate itself, but once it gets exported to media encoder the effects are no longer applied to the layers

(the issue im having this time is that i put some layers at a lower opacity than the other ones and its making them full opacity once exported to media encoder)

is this an issue with media encoder or something i need to change within animate itself.

Hi, layer opacity is for visualization purposes only, it is not meant to be exportable. Use an alpha color effect instead.

For exporting animations with layered effects or frames, it does not work with media export. In order for you to apply the effects you must export with movie mode, and PNG image sequence, for example. That export shows what you see in the workspace, the videos are actually SWF converted to videos, and SWFs do not export effects.

export as a .mov file right out of animate first then you can take it to a media encoder to compress it to an MP4 if you like. this is my workaround.
