Motion tween does not play when filter applied

Hello All,

I am confused. I have not seen an answer for this side effect. I have a sprite (aka MovieClip sorta)
on my stage. I am using a motion tween on the timline (keyframes, etc) that moves my sprite object from left to right. I would like to apply a glow filter to the object on the stage. I am using GreenSock, TweenLiteFilter, although the same thing happens if I use the standard Flash glowfilter. If I apply the filter in actionscript, the tween ceases to play. If I apply the filter using the timeline, and clicking on my sprite on the stage, the motion tween plays.

Can I not mix and match effects in ActionScript and the timeline? Does this mean if I want a filter and a motion tween at the same time it has to be done via keyframes on the timeline OR in actionscript.

thanks,

eholz1

Did you ever find a resolution to your problem? I'm having the same issue.

Thanks,
Bryan

No, just the built in Flash CS4 filters like drop shadow, blur, etc.

Here is how to reproduce the problem in Flash CS4...

1) Create a movieclip on your stage and give it an instance name like myMovie.
2) Animate the movieclip using a motion tween
3) Put the code below on the first frame of your movie.
4) Test your movie and say goodbye to your tween...
