MovieClipLoader & batching in Photoshop

I scaled a folder full of Images in PS using Batch & an action I created (the action ends with save as JPG). I also scaled a duplicate set to thumbnail sizes using the right-click short-cut on the mouse. Everything loads fine on my computer, but when testing online I cannot get the larger images to load. It is only the JPG's I saved using "Batch".

I'm not sure if there's enough information here, but hopfully somebody has done this too. I have discovered that JPG's saved as progressive do not load when I test from my server, but I did not save them that way.

Ah, well then put it in an HTML page so we can see what error message is being generated.

Also it probably ins't a good idea to include spaces in the names of things. Most likely isn't the problem here, but it just doesn't look good.

After thinking about absolute/relative paths I remembered the .swf is not embedded in HTML. The button and Path listed above are direct links to the .swf.

Ok, I think you're on to something. I don't get the error when I open the .swf from the button, but I do when I load it directly from the address bar. I then get an error when I click any of the thumbnails. All this is being monitored through my activity window.

I will try changing the path in the .swf to reflect that path from the HTML.

Hmm. I'm getting an error that

is not found and my status bar says there were two errors loading the page. So that is all very strange.

My other guess is that when using a swf in an html page all paths are relative to the location of the original html page, not to the swf. So if things are in folders that can cause problems. But usually I see an error in the activity monitor with the paths that it is searching for.

my flash plugin is version 9.0. It's definitately updated because I need it for spikedhumor.com !!!

has anybody tried to load my photo album and had success with the large images?

I feel it is normal to encounter more problems when moving things to a server, But it doesn't make sense b/c flash runs locally on the computer, and just downloads the image from the server. My next step is to trace the error with a dynamic text box. Will that give me a decent lead or just a generic "error" message?. My space is from LunarPages.com.

What version of Flash are you using? (Or what version of the player/plug-in is installed for your browser?)

Under Flash 7 you weren't able to load external JPEGs that had been saved in the progressive format.

My guess is that you have a newer version of Flash and that is what is used in the testing environment – when you try it locally. But that you have an out of date plug-in for your internet browser.

Or maybe not…

good suggestion. I tried it and I was able to load an Image.

It's really strange. Just for kicks I ran the Images through a right-click .exe and they still don't work...I also ran another photo Album's images through the batching process and now they no longer load. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to find a solution that I don't want to do.

Is there anyway I can post my Photoshop Actions in this forum? Load an screen shot?

The files could be corrupt. Try loading the jpg's directly in a browser.
