Music won't play except from start

If I play the entire file from the start, it'll play just fine. But if I click anywhere further down the timeline and play the animation, the music doesn't play. All the topics I could find on this have been deleted?

From the Properties panel set your audio Sync setting to "Stream".

Hey Im having a similar problem but im unable to select stream, no matter if i use .wav or .mp3 audio files. any ideas?
