My sound comes in so much louder then I made it in Audition

I have the sound of footsteps to make my animation look 'real'. In Audition the sound is quite, subtle the way I want it. I bring it into Animate and it sounds like boots on a march. What am I doing wrong?

use 44 khz, 16 bit.

or if using a non-canvas project, you can edit the sound in animate to control its volume
