Not hearing audio play back

when pressing play on the side i can't hear playback I don't know what is causing this so if someone could help that be great. Also when playing the animation it does not play audio.

I had a similar problem a while ago. I learned that I couldn't hear my audio because I had imported it as 32 bits instead of 16 bits.

I'm still new to Adobe Animate so I apologize if this isn't quite the problem you needed to solve. I just thought I'd share what worked for me, in case it was applicable here.

    Def a good thing to know - but the OP replied with a video that shows them uiumporting a sound that is 44kHz and 16bit and it should work - problem must be elsewhere.

    Update: I've found out it is a problem with the newest version of Adobe Animate. Just have to wait for them to fix this.

    This was an issue 3 versions ago and was fixed in the previous update. What version are you running now? 22.0.4 the audio issue was fixed. Current version is 22.0.5 and is fixed still.

    Ahhh your last comment makes me think your sounds are set to Event. They need to be set to "Stream" if you want them embedded into the timeline and heard while scrubbing and during playback inside of Animate. Select the sound in the layer and from Preoperties Panel go to the Sound section (expand if necessary) and change its behavior from Event to Stream using the drop-down menu.


    Sill does not work here is a video on what is going on when i press play. It is on stream and the little playback button just flashes then stops.
