Animate is driving me NUTS! I have symbols that I am animating as a bounce effect. Simple enough. But for reasons I cannot fathom, although they all started with having their registration points in the centre, they are moving all over the place so when I'm creating tweens, the objects are doing NOTHING LIKE they are supposed to and jump around all over the place! Is there a way I can just reset the registration points, rather than have to try to drag it back to the centre on every single occurrence?

Hi,
If you chose "center" when creating the symbols,
it means the registration points are also centered.
If that's the case, simply double-click on the instance with the selected Q-tool,
and the transformation point will reset, aligning with the registration point.

Hi. I've been doing that when CREATING the symbols. The problem is that for some reason, it is moving away from the centre during multiple stages of moving that symbol around the screen. I can use the Q tool to double-click on the symbol and isolate it, and it does show that the reg point is dead centre like it was originally set up to be. The moment I go back to the scene, it goes back to being off-centre again, in this case, top left.

Hi,
I get the impression that you are using the terms registration point and transformation point interchangeably. If you'd like to refresh your terminology, here is an article that delves into the differences between the two and addresses issues that may arise from a lack of familiarity with the subject matter:

Call it a transformation point, then. Either way, when it tweens, it's all over the place because the transformation point is not in a fixed position between the two instances at the beginning (centred) and the end (top left).
