Question

Onion skin button

In my previous question I forgot to insert the current screenshot of how small the onion skin button is.

I use this button just as much as I use the blank keyframe shortcut F5. Let's step up the animate game by giving this button some muscle. It's too far down/up on the timeline property bar - It should be somewhere on the canvas or near it. Somewhere where you don't have to scroll to get to it. Is there a keyboard shortcut for it? At least?

Hi.

Excellent idea.

If the shortcut isn't still the solution you're looking for, please tell us because what you want can be done with a very simple custom extension.

yes, there is a shortcut that you can customize.

all shorts are listed (and customizable) by clicking edit>keyboard shortcuts.  you can use the search field to find the onion skin shortcuts (which are under timeline).  toggle onion skin mode is ctrl-alt-O, by default.  there is no default onion skin outlines mode so that has to be customized if you want to use a shortcut.

to create custom shortcuts, create a copy of the default shortcuts, name it and customize it.  you can't customize the default shortcuts.

Solid. I'll test it out today.

What do you suggest for a good shortcut key combo. Shift alt O I like, but I like to keep shortcut to 2 presses on the keyboard max. Can I have it be a F9 or F0?
