Have you used Lynda / LinkedIn Learning for learning Animate CC previously and want more or are you looking for resources there?

Hi,

just my opinion/thoughts.

I think Lynda and similar are too expensive if I just want a certain course. Plus I dont think you can keep the course material if you leave them? I might be wrong. But I guess this comes down to your budget.

I like the idea of sites like Udemy where you can buy just the course you need and get regular updates. I definitely don't mind paying if that course is specific to my needs.

I wish courses from Joseph where available on Udemy, as I have been impressed with his stuff from his site and through trials.

Also, I think it depends on what you want to do with Animate CC- lots of animation or a mixture of HTML5 with a good bit of code? For animation then people like Jazza (see what nickg28 linked to) are brilliant and inspiring to watch. If you require more coding within your HTML5 then Joseph is good for that. And the later is why I come to these forums, as I want to strengthen my coding to improve on what I do at work.

Some of the guys knowledge on these forums is awesome. I wish Adobe would maybe select a few and pay them to create some more in-depth (I have watched some of the Adobe tutorials and they are good starter videos) video tutorials that focus more on JS code within Animate CC for people who want to take their programming knowledge for Animate CC further.

But I do learn a lot from these forums and found them helpful to a point.

Just my two cents.

Cheers

Greg

I like Udemy too and what you say is correct. You can keep your courses forever.

Thanks for the reply Greg. My intention is to learn Animation not coding at the moment.

That's a good point. Animate can do so much so it's hard to find a nice spot that serves everyone. Straight-up character animation being very different from native web ads from mobile game dev, for instance. You are sort of forced to multiple places 😕
