Open a new browser window ActionScript 3.0

I am making my website's nav bar in flash. I want some of the buttons to open new browser windows to display aspx/html files. Is this possible using actionscript 3.0?

If you use the navigateToURL() function, you can set the window parameter to "_blank" and open the URL in a new window. Full documentation in the help file should get you through the details. Good luck! 🙂

I am unable to open a link in new tab with actionscript

i am using navigateToURL and it doesnt work. could you please suggest.
