Hi-
I don't know much about Flash so understanding how to implement a preloader for my entire site is just a bit beyond me. Basically, I just want a loading bar, "loading" text, and the percentage text (this should all be in AS3). I know that in Flash CS5, a preloader bar is included as one of the components. The only problem is that I don't know what to do with it (and it shows up as blue and white so not sure how to change the colour)... the Adobe help file for that component explains somewhat but the example it uses includes an MP3 and button component, both of which I don't need.
Can someone explain how to include this feature and show me the exact code and where I should put it in the actions frame? Thanks so much!

Hi
My advice to you are:
Take the time to read a little about flash...Just start small.
Read the help file (F1). Do some basic groundwork and learn
about the language..There's nothing more gratifying, than
being able to produce something all by yourself.
Don't take this the negative way. A lot of newbies get flash
with the expectation, that you sit down in front of the 'beast'
and just 'make it'...When they wake up and discover, that
the darn thing needs som studying...Well.....
If you REALLY want to know about preloaders, then search
for 'preloaders' in the searchbox..There are countless examples
available.
Start small and slowly build up your knowledge..
The benefits are fantastic..Trust me.
When you have a specific problem...Some lines of code that's
acting up, then ask for help and you will get it... ![]()
Best regards
Peter
